Can you believe we are walking into the 2025-2026 school year? To say that JES has a feeling of family is an understatement. I am so excited to be in a school where staff and families all work together to promote student success. I hope you will take the time to encourage your child in all that matters in our schools. We will promote the best academics, behavior and attendance plans and can't wait to be on your child's team to grow.
Our goal is to grow our students into responsible adults. We, the school employees, the parents and famiiles are all a team in this process. Please have conversations with your child's teacher and be involved with the learning. Encourage your child to read DAILY.
For those who don't know me, here is just a little about me:
I have worked in our district for 21 years and with our state for 27. I am a 4th generation Putnam County resident and my children and grandchildren are here as well. I was educated in the Putnam County School System. My first two years (K-1st) were at Bostwick Elementary. I am sure that is telling my age! I spent 2nd-5th grades at James A. Long Elementary; 6th-8th at Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. Middle School, and 9th-12th at Palatka High School. I then received my AA at St. Johns River Community College and my BA, MA, and EdS at St. Leo University. I am a wife of 32 years, a parent to 3 grown children, and a "Granny" to 9 beautiful grandchildren.
Best wishes,
Paula P. Adams
