And another year has been completed and now we are moving into the 2026-2027 school year.  To say that JES has a feeling of family is an understatement. I am so excited to be in a school where staff and families all work together to promote student success. I hope you will take the time to encourage your child in all that matters: education, positive relationships and good citizenship. We will promote the best academics, behavior and attendance plans and can't wait to be on your child's team to grow.

Our goal is to grow our students into responsible adults. We, the school employees, the parents and families are all a team in this process. Please have conversations with your child's teacher and be involved with the learning. Encourage your child to read DAILY.

The 2026-2027 theme is "Rams on the R.I.S.E.~One team! One Goal! Homerun Success!". We can't wait to knock it out of the park with growth and collaboration.

For those who don't know me, here is just a little about me:

I have worked in our district for 22 years and with our state for 28. I am a 4th generation Putnam County resident and my children and grandchildren are here as well. I was educated in the Putnam County School System. My first two years (K-1st) were at Bostwick Elementary. I am sure that is telling my age! I spent 2nd-5th grades at James A. Long Elementary; 6th-8th at Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. Middle School, and 9th-12th at Palatka High School. I then received my AA at St. Johns River Community College and my BA, MA, and EdS at St. Leo University. I am a wife of 33 years, a parent to 3 grown children, and a "Granny" to 9 beautiful grandchildren.

Best wishes,

Paula P. Adams
